Message From The President
Hello everyone! Kamusta na po?
Welcome to the National ACE and Filipino Chamber’s AANHPI Small Business Roundtable right here at the Filipino Community Center!
Thank you all for coming. I’m really excited to be here with you all today, representing the chamber as its President. But let me give you a peek into my day job – I’m a serial technopreneur, which basically means I own a software development company with offices in Bellevue, Manila, and Hanoi. Unfortunately, I’m all too familiar with the challenges faced by all minority-owned small businesses. So today, we’re here to have some honest conversations about the ups and downs of owning an AANHPI business, and most importantly, to brainstorm solutions to those challenges.
The Filipino Chamber mandate is simple: we’re all about economic development. Our focus isn’t just on Filipino American small businesses, but on helping all underrepresented businesses grow. We do this through events like today’s, offering tech assistance, and organizing networking opportunities for our members to collaborate.
This is our chance to speak openly. AANHPI business owners are going to share the toughest parts of running their businesses. By really listening to each other, we can team up – business owners, elected or appointed government officials, and corporate leaders – to make life easier for AANHPI businesses.
Thank you for being here.
